Just got this pen today...

It's by Montblanc, part of the Marlene Dietrich collection.

Ballpoint pen with twist mechanism, barrel made of black precious resin inlaid with Montblanc signet and mother-of-pearl inlay, platinum-plated rings and clip set with a deep blue sapphire




Been loving such pens that feature nice natural gem stones. This one is unique, as it features both Mother of Pearl and a sapphire!

Was given this MontBlanc Collectables hard cover book by the boutique staff of MontBlanc today. Apparently, this book is not for sale and is for collectors only!

Sometimes, being nice to boutique staff does have its perks!

Agate Sphere

This agate sphere has a nice 'smile' on it... which is actually the formation of quartz crystals within its druze!

Chlorite in Quartz

This polished quartz point has inclusions of green chlorite..

giving it the trade name of scenic quartz as the inclusions do form a design similar to 'scenic paintings'

Sceptre Quartz

No, it's not something obscene that I posted up today!

Rather, this is really a work done by Mother Nature and is known as Sceptre Quartz !

Doesnt it remind you of some phallic looking object?

Watermelon Tourmaline

Whenever I look at this sliced cross section of a watermelon tourmaline, I really feel that this stone is so approriately named!!
