It's alternate bands of black and white are just reminiscent of the zebra!
Not too sure if this is soaked in sugar solution and then heated to get a black colour!

I love your site. My grandfather got involved with stone working after his retirement. I loved working in his shop to select and polish stones. My favorite were the ones with the most interesting colors.
